As an animal rescue organization with a limited-admission shelter and super small staff, our volunteers are critical to saving lives. When you invest your time with SPCA of the Triad, you give homeless animals in our shared community a chance at life and love.
All volunteers must attend the New Volunteer Orientation. Our orientation sessions are held on the second Saturday of each month at our facility.
You must be 18 years of age to volunteer without a guardian present. If you are 10 years old and above, your legal guardian must apply to volunteer, attend our volunteer orientation, and work alongside you. Please note that both the minor and guardian must attend orientation.
We require 2 hours of volunteer service monthly. We also strongly encourage our volunteers to purchase an SPCA of the Triad Volunteer shirt for $7.00.
**As of August 1, 2024, we no longer accept court-mandated community service volunteers.**
Once you complete our online application, we will review your application and notify you if you are approved. At this time, you will receive a link to register for an upcoming orientation. Please know that we conduct background checks on all volunteer applications.
We are wagging in anticipation of meeting you!
Amplify the impact of
your volunteer time. Did you know that thousands of companies offer volunteer grant programs where they donate to
our organization after you volunteer your time?
