Meet Bugs, a mixed-breed 4-ish-year-old and only 8-pound boy who has come a long way since arriving at our shelter in January. After living in a home with lots of other dogs and little socialization, he spent much of his life in survival mode and didn’t know how to trust new people.

 

Now, we’re finally seeing him discover what it’s like to just be a dog. Watching him slowly open up and trust new people has been incredibly rewarding.

 

He’ll need an experienced adopter who understands that some dogs simply need more time. Because we believe Bug is a significant flight risk, he’ll require a secure home without young children and a slower-paced lifestyle. 

 

Bug is not looking for someone to snuggle him overnight; he’s looking for someone who will patiently help him continue becoming the dog he’s always deserved to be.
