Bud is a 3-year-old male Domestic Shorthair mix with a soft coat and an even softer heart. He’s the purrfect blend of playful and relaxed, making him an easy fit for a home that enjoys both quiet snuggles and sweet companionship. He has previously done well with other cats and has a friendly, easygoing nature that shines through in every interaction.

Bud is FIV-positive, which means his immune system needs a little extra support—but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Cats with FIV can live long, happy, and healthy lives with proper care. The virus is mainly spread through deep bite wounds, not casual contact, so FIV+ and FIV– cats can often live safely together in peaceful homes. It poses no risk to humans or dogs. With regular vet care and a healthy diet, Bud can thrive just like any other cat.

This lovable boy would do wonderfully in a home with another FIV+ cat, as a single kitty, or with an adopter who understands how to manage introductions and maintain a calm environment.
