If you love podcasts as much as we do, we have a recommendation. Hanna Lentz is the Executive Director of SPARC, and she was recently featured on the Top Dog podcast.

We have had the privilege of hearing Hanna speak several times at Animal Welfare conferences, and Casey took SPARC's training and participates in their Community of Peers calls. SPARC's work is a game-changer, not only for animal welfare but for life.

SPARC is Supporting People and Animal Relationships for Change. Their tagline, Don't be Judgy," encourages all of us to stop using our energy to shame and vilify people because it undermines our ability to help animals. Let’s drop the judgment and channel our passion into what matters most.

When we realize that people aren't the problem but the systems are, we can zoom out and see that we're only seeing one tiny fraction of someone's life. In other words, walk a mile in someone else's shoes...

Through systems framing, empathic listening, and messaging with dignity, the collective WE can truly support pets and their people, keeping them together.
