Introducing Popeye

Meet Athena: Your Future Cozy Companion

Athena is a delightful and gentle soul, lovingly described by her foster as the ultimate couch potato. She thrives in a calm environment, where her favorite pastimes include taking long, peaceful naps and being a devoted shadow to her human companions.

While Athena enjoys the company of her humans, she prefers to have the spotlight all to herself and isn't a big fan of sharing attention with feline friends. She can tolerate a cat in the same room but prefers to keep her distance—if a cat gets too close for comfort, Athena will express her discontent by chasing them away.

Though her experience with other dogs has been limited to passing encounters on walks, Athena may bark at them, but there have been no aggressive responses noted from her side. She is a true food lover, with collagen chews being her absolute favorite, and she finds great joy in giving stuffies a good, hearty chew!

When it comes to weather, Athena is not a fan of cold weather at all. Her walks are primarily focused on bathroom breaks, after which she eagerly hightails it back to the warmth of the indoors. This sweet girl is also slightly sensitive about her personal space; she prefers to see her humans as they move around her, as she may bark if someone approaches from behind without her noticing.

Athena is well-trained in basic commands such as sit and stay and reliably signals when she needs to go outside, making her a great fit for any family. In addition to her affectionate and loving nature, she is patient, rides beautifully in the car, and excels during vet visits. If you're seeking a dog that embodies relaxation and brings a sense of calm to your life amidst the hustle and bustle, Athena may just be the perfect match for you!
